Another wintry blast is heading for the Richmond region.
The National Weather Service is forecasting rain and snow between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday, with additional flurries overnight. A low of 19 degrees is forecast Sunday night.
Monday will be mostly clear, but temperatures will plummet to 8 degrees overnight.
The chilly conditions forced inauguration ceremonies for President-elect Donald Trump on Monday to be moved indoors in Washington, D.C.
The swearing-in was last moved indoors in 1985, when President Ronald Reagan began his second term. Monday’s forecast calls for the lowest Inauguration Day temperatures since that day.

For Virginia, a chance of snow returns Tuesday night, according to the weather service forecast.
Jeff Orrock, meteorologist-in-charge at the National Weather Service in Wakefield, said an area of high pressure will move toward the cold air, potentially bringing more snow to the state.
“Now you start to see this storm system again, coming from the Gulf of Mexico, tracking somewhere across the southeast U.S., maybe across Florida,” Orrock said. “This is the million dollar question for next week: where is this storm system going to go?”
Orrock said a lot of what determines the path of the storm depends on how strong the high pressure is. If it is really strong, it could push everything to the south. If the pressure stays further north or is a bit weaker, Orrock said, the storm could come farther north.

Scattered showers are expected Saturday across the Richmond region.
A Jan. 6 snowstorm caused power disruptions at the Richmond water plant, which cut of the supply to the city and surrounding counties. A boil-order was lifted last weekend.
During the week, public schools were closed and residents were tasked with finding drinkable water for their households. Tanker trucks delivered water to area hospitals, while distribution centers have opened throughout Richmond. Officials worked to make sure people had access to baby formula and other water-based essential needs. Community centers in the area, including several branches of the YMCA and a local JCC, also offered facilities such as showers.
The Virginia legislature also delayed its first full working day of session. Lawmakers quickly met on Wednesday to conduct procedural matters before recessing until the following Monday. In front of the statehouse, a row of portable toilets lined the lawn of the building, which did not have water pressure.
